Very popular in Japan, Hojicha is traditionaly a green tea that has been briefly roasted. This heat transforms the typical vegetal flavours of Japanese green teas into a darker colour with rich, woodsy notes of nuts.

Simply infused with water, it makes and excellent drink. But it is the latte version that is really taking off these days. For this we use a powdered Hojicha, instead of the conventional leaf, and the preparation is similar to that of a Matcha latte.

A perfectly comforting tea for a cloudy day. Try it with a touch of cinnamon or cocoa powder!
